Mandatory Regulatory Prerequisites
Before completing your admission, you must create two mandatory digital identifiers as per UGC and Ministry of Education directives.
UGC-DEB Student ID
Create on the official UGC-DEB portal (deb.ugc.ac.in) using your Aadhaar or DigiLocker credentials. This verifies you are enrolling in a legally entitled program.
Academic Bank of Credits (ABC / APAAR ID)
Generate your 12-digit unique national credit repository ID on abc.gov.in or DigiLocker. This enables seamless digital credit accumulation, storage, and mobility across institutions.
Step-by-Step Admission Process
Online Registration
Navigate to the official VGU Online portal (onlinevgu.com). Enter your full name, active mobile number, email ID, and state of residence. Complete OTP verification to create your Student Application Dashboard.
Program and Specialisation Selection
Choose your desired academic tier — Undergraduate or Postgraduate. Select your target program (MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA, BA, MA) and preferred specialisation.
Academic Profile Entry
Fill in educational history — Class 10, Class 12, and Bachelor's degree details (for PG applicants). Provide your UGC-DEB Unique ID and ABC/APAAR ID.
Digital Document Upload
Upload scanned colour copies of all required academic transcripts, identity proofs, passport photograph, and specimen signature in high-resolution PDF or JPEG format.
Fee Payment
Pay the non-refundable registration fee of INR 1,000. Select your preferred fee structure — Semester-Wise, Annual Lump Sum, Full Upfront, or Zero-Cost EMI. Complete transaction via Net Banking, UPI, or Debit/Credit Card.
Provisional Admission Letter
Upon successful payment, an automated Provisional Admission Letter and Fee Receipt are issued to your registered email within minutes.
University Scrutiny and LMS Activation
The VGU Central Admission Cell verifies uploaded documents against national databases. Within 48–72 working hours, your permanent University Enrolment Number is generated. Official LMS login credentials and induction webinar links are dispatched.

Postgraduate Programs
Online MBA
Bachelor's degree (10+2+3 or 10+2+4) in any stream from a UGC-recognised university. Minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD). No entrance exam mandatory.
Online MCA
BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT), B.Tech/BE, or any graduate with Mathematics at 10+2 or degree level. Minimum 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories).
Online MA and M.Sc
Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline from a recognised university with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
Undergraduate Programs
Online BBA
10+2 from a recognised Central or State Board (CBSE, ICSE, NIOS, State Boards) in any stream. Minimum 45–50% aggregate marks.
Online BCA
10+2 from a recognised board in any stream. Mathematics, CS, IT, or Statistics at 10+2 level is preferred but not mandatory. Minimum 45–50% aggregate.
Online BA
10+2 passed from a recognised board in any stream with passing marks.

AIU Equivalence Certificate
Foreign school or bachelor's degree holders must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities.

English Language Proficiency
Medium of instruction certificate (MOI) confirming previous education in English, or IELTS/TOEFL score report.
International Fee Remittance
Fees payable in USD or equivalent INR via SWIFT bank transfer or international credit cards.

Lateral Entry and Credit Transfer
In alignment with the National Credit Framework (NCrF) under NEP 2020, students who have completed partial coursework or diploma programs from recognised institutions can apply for credit transfer. The VGU Academic Equivalence Committee maps previous syllabi against VGU curriculum credits, and equivalent courses with passing grades are mapped to the student's grade sheet — potentially accelerating graduation timelines.
